I love the NFL’s coverage of the pre-game fashion on Sundays.
Once the algorithm realized this, I was quickly shown Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. His commitment to the pre- and post-game fit is charming, this man is taking risks. Burrow’s love of ‘00s-style rimless sunglasses had me feeling especially wild. (Yes, the ‘00s are vintage!! And double yes, I know that hurts!!)
Sure, maybe you need more convincing. Well, it’s cool-girl approved, too. Bella, Kendall, and Gigi have all worn them—thank you Jesus we’ve left the era of tiny sunglasses, I really kept trying to make those work—so let’s go shopping.
The origin of Burrow’s shades aren’t confirmed, but likely aren’t vintage. But you have the real thing, the original thing!!! Pairs that, according to my calculations… came out before Burrow was born. Lord.
Resale sites have oodles of Chanel rimless shades for the picking. Part of the playfulness of this style is there’s an option for everybody. You don’t have to go full colored lenses a la Robert Downey, Jr if this vibe is already outside of you comfort zone. My dream pair are the Karl-era Chanel pair that are just so sporty looking (middle) and fold in half into a tiny pocket-square box.
Blue Oval Sunglasses / Interlocking CC Shield Sunglasses / Pink Oval Sunglasses

There’s also Burrow’s other pair of rimless sunglasses, his Cartier C Décor shades. I mean… what a man.
The Real Real has a pair of Cartier rose-hued shades with panthère temple details that are fire. With this trend you can literally have it all.
